    One of my favorite things to do in Seattle has been finding cute little cafes and coffee shops. I sit down with my artistic & local coffee and mess around on my laptop; sometimes writing a blog post, sometimes spending too much money on amazon, and sometimes just mindlessly scrolling through social media.     Quarter of a Century

    Yesterday, I had my first birthday away from my family & friends. I’ve officially reached 25 years old. Although a relatively meaningless age, I think I’ve put more symbolism into it than most. It’s officially your middle twenties, halfway to fifty, a quarter of a century. It seems the first official “mature” birthday. I’m getting older now, more a true “adult” than a “young adult.” Which, I still question when I’m going to feel like that transition has been made.     The First Month

    I’ve officially spent over a full month in a different city alone. Outside of the first week that my mom was able to spend with me, I haven’t seen my friends or family in A MONTH. Of course FaceTime is a beautiful thing, texting is easy (although I suck at it,) and they’re always just a call a way. Although it’s an interesting concept that when I wake up for work, I already have a “Goodnight” text from my dad?
