I recently went on a backpacking trip to Yosemite with a few nights spent in San Francisco. In preparing for that trip, I was informed by a few members of my family that I had to keep a journal and then start a blog. So here I am! *insert waving emoji here*
I have been bit by the wanderlust bug. Although I have always loved to travel (I can thank my dad’s job for that, by adulthood I had visited half the states in the US just by visiting wherever he was fixing hail dents), I have had an indescribably strong urge to just go. In October 2016, I flew out to Phoenix to visit a friend and that seemed to start it all. I don’t know if it is because it was my first time flying alone, the absolutely beautiful views on our hikes, or I am just at a more mature point in my life; but I am SO ready to see everything this world has to offer.
However, as it is currently, I cannot travel ALL the time. At least not yet. So this blog is also going to incorporate my life as a pediatric nurse too. As those two things, nursing and exploring, are my biggest passions in life. And I hope to blend the two with travel nursing in the future.
So anyways, my next few posts are going to be my journal entries from San Francisco and Yosemite to catch this blog up to speed. They are going to be unedited to simply capture the emotions I felt at the time. Which I can ensure you, it was an adventure to say the least. Nothing really went as planned, but that certainly did not change the overall enjoyment I felt on my first solo trip.
Thanks for visiting!
